MOLDING
The Dotson Company is a foundry that uses greensand compacted with matchplate molding machines. The working size of molds is 20" X 24" Three matchplate molding machines are utilized on three separate mold lines that operate independently up to shakeout. Two Hunter matchplate molding machines along with our newest, a Roberts Sinto FBOIII. The Sinto is linked to the automated pouring line. In fact the Sinto and the auto pour communicate so the auto pour knows which part numbers are at the pouring station. The Sinto also produces molds of outstanding quality that have less parting line shift and better surface finish requiring less grinding than other molding machines.
